A supply drop or support drop is a delivery of supplies often by aircraft to the player which often contains weapons and ammo. It typically costs money to have done and must be place carefully in order not to damage the goods in order to get them.

Overview

Supply drops are primarily available for a price via PDA for the player in game series' such as Mercenaries, Metal Gear Solid, Just Cause etc.. The player earns cash in the game, selects what they want from the PDA, and hits confirm to get it. Other games such as Call of Duty have it so the player does a certain task in order to get the supplies such as killing a certain amount of enemies.

It's important that the player not only protect the supplies and or the craft delivering them but also to make sure they are delivered in an accessible spot.
