Yesssss finally something I care about from E3. A real game. With no motion controllers or cameras. With SPACESHIPS. That you have to play with a keyboard and mouse.

I was hoping they'll show something at E3. Glad they did.

They're calling it 'Lords of Winter' when winter is completely irrelevant in space? Seems an odd subtitle or are we going to see some sort of weird seasonal economy change thing on our planets.

Really looking forward to this game. Breaks my heart that more people don't play this.

Hopefully the galaxy map will be usable this time around. The first game had some great game ideas (and fantastic fiction) but the interface was a mess.

hmm Paradox always delivers some of the best indie games around. I'll have to look into this.

The trailer seemed kinda strange to me and probably doesn't do the game justice.  A lot of swooping camera angles on ships that aren't really doing anything. The only people a trailer like this will probably sell the game to are those that are already familiar with the previous game.  I'm not criticising the game, it's just that this trailer seems inadequate on an advertising level.

yeah, Paradox keeps releasing games in the genres I'm interested in. Like the batshit crazy space combat sim Dark Horizon, equally but more intentionally batshit crazy Magicka, the horror masterpiece Penumbra (only overshadowed by Amnesia by the same studio) and of course the original Sword of the Stars, though 4X games are somewhat oversaturated on the indie market - nowhere near how ridiculously overpopulated the tower defense genre is of course.

A sword wouldn't be very effective against a space ship.
