    Overview

    Sword World SFC is a Super Famicom (the SFC in the title refers to the Super Famicom) adaptation of Sword World RPG, a fantasy RPG table-top game best known for inspiring the Record of Lodoss War novel series. The game is open-ended and intended for multiplayer play in order to recreate the table-top game as closely as possible. This also includes a faithful recreation of the table-top game's ruleset.

    Sword World also received a similar NEC PC-9801 adaptation prior to this game, called Sword World PC. Sword World SFC also saw a sequel in Sword World SFC 2: Inishie no Kyojin Densetsu.
