    Tacoma was the location of the 80's Dragon and Coco developer Spectral Associates. The indie developer CC & SH is currently located there, and as such, many of their games and characters are associated with the city

    Many musicians have called Tacoma their home, including Bing Crosby, Neko Case, and Vicci Martinez. Sir Mix-a-Lot prominently alluded to the gang dangers of the city's Hilltop neighborhood in "My Hooptie".
