So... I had my own personal Phoenix Down/Usual Suspects moment listening to the bombcast today when Jeff pronounced "MIles Prower" in such a way that... I realized the name is a pun.

I thought this was common knowledge.

If Tails hadn't already been ruined by being annoying (until he's stuck in an infinite loop of dying), this would have ruined the character for me.

I didn't get that until like three years ago. I don't know what triggered the realization. Miles Prower. It seems so obvious now. I think it's because when his name is written down, it's usually "Miles "Tails" Prower" so it makes it much less obvious.

Can someone explain Phoenix Down to me? I can't figure it out!

Like others have said, the only times I've looked at his name and given it any thought whatsoever was in Sonic 2, where they introduce him as Miles "Tails" Prower, so I've always thought of his name like that.

@CaLe: I have, and I'm in the US. In the army all we had were down pillows. I hate them, personally, cus the tail end of the feather sometimes poked thru. Its annoying.
