Overview
In 1994, Konami developed the first Taisen Puzzle-Dama for the Arcade. They followed it up for multiple sequels for home systems, many of which feature characters of a specific anime license or a Konami property.
The general goal is to stack blocks of the same color and having them vanish when three of the same type are touching. Removing blocks also frees "trapped" blocks which in turn will vanish in groups in three. The idea is to set up huge chains by freeing these trapped blocks in groups of three or larger, dropping a lot of "trash" trapped blocks on the opponent. The opponent is capable of sending these back, however, leading to a lot of back-and-forth.
