Overview
Someya is an associate of the enigmatic Yomei Alliance crime syndicate, operating out of the Hiroshima prefecture. He answers directly to Katsumi Sugai of the the Sugai Family that has since infiltrated the Tojo Clan, and all but seized control of it after Majima, Saejima and Daigo's arrest. Someya are among the few next-generation of Yakuza who doesn't have an irezumi on his back, as he believes it is part of a dying out custom, and the yakuza must change.
Despite his despicable veneer, whenever you're greeting him, he has a daughter and an ex-wife named Kyomi whom he still cares deeply for. He also has a lot of respect for Kiryu enough to cave a fellow associate's skull in with an empty wine bottle, should he insult him. He isn't above allying himself with his enemies like Kiryu to take down another hated enemy.
