Throughout each episode this game had a constant mixture of humor set between action set pieces that got you to the next point in the storyline. Humor is relative per person but if you've played the first episode and laughed a few times then the rest of this game is worth seeing. Action wise the game sets up situations that are unique and are fun to watch whenever you don't have to worry about hitting a QTE. The overall story is told well with the dual perspectives of Fiona and Rhys being the main focus. Each protagonist has their own reason for what they are doing but as the episodes go by they become more likable characters if the player decides to go in that direction with the dialogue choices.

Dialogue choices have always been apart of a Tell Tale game.

When it comes down to it really is hard to judge a TellTale game. Looking at what they make it really is just a bunch of random rooms you look around and answer a bunch of dialogue choices between QTE action scenes. Yet the silly characters and the overall crazy plot kept me coming back for more. Even the graphical style of Borderlands is more appealing than when they are going with something realistic like Game of Thrones. Plus this has to be the best game this year to use licensed music since the late title card of every episode was always a delight to see. Even when the game goes into serious mode for a little bit it handles that aspect well and you might even hesitate to pick some of the tougher choices.

Not everyone likes QTE but this game gives you so much time to press it I was able to take this screenshot and still win.

Any negatives from previous games like this can be labeled on to this one. Like the fact that our choices don't matter that much since the characters will always end up in whatever wacky scenario the developers planned. Some episodes are also not that interesting with the notable one being the third one. It went by so fast and the action felt like it was put into it just because they needed to have something to fill a little time.

But the rest of the game had a good flow going with unique set pieces and they usually managed to end on a good cliffhanger. Which actually made this a better game to play episodically compared to most Tell Tale games. Overall this game managed to put a smile on my face a lot while also surprising me with a few shocking moments I didn't expect. If a humor filled game mixed with some over the top action sounds fun to you then check this one out.

Tales From The Borderlands Episode 2 REVIEWWritten By Tyler PedersonTelltale are working overtime now days it would seem. First coming onto my radar with their release of The Walking Dead Season 1, the adventure game developers have since released a second season of that, The Wolf Among Us, announced two upcoming series, and continued to expand upon their take on Game of Thrones. Tales From The Borderlands seemingly drew the short straw, leading to what I believe may be the longest wait between ...

Telltale's Best Entry Since The Walking Dead 0

So who bet on the Borderlands game being the better Telltale game this year than Game of Thrones? When the two games were first announced, the temperature in the room was that Borderlands looked like an obvious cash grab, especially with its release in such close proximity with the pedestrian Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Despite trepidations, what we got was Telltale's first entry since Walking Dead that is on that same level of quality. You play as Rhys, a Hyperion middle manager who looks up to...
