    Tales of a Junktown Jerky Vendor is a skill book, appearing in both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. The book increases a player's Barter skill upon reading, and is a reference to the town of Junktown in the original Fallout. There are 23 copies of the book around the Capital Wasteland, though there are only four in the Mojave Wasteland. In Fallout 3, the book increases a player's Barter skill by 1, or 2 should they have used the 'Comprehension' perk. In Fallout: New Vegas, the book increases Barter by 3, or 4 with the Comprehension perk selected.
