Game » consists of 3 releases. Released 2012
Fuck yeah :-)
I posted that in shitty shaky cam quality in the other thread. AWESOME :-)
The combat looks like some pretty damn sweet fun, look at that wolf thing fight it out with him :-)
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, NAMCO, please localise asap :-(
It's the third trailer though, here are the others for those who missed them. Not great quality.
The combat does look very good, much more fun, it's hard to know exactly what has changed, but on the surface it does look better than the combat in DoTNW.
I'm really liking the looks of the combat. It almost looks sort of DMC-esque. Graphics look good too. Also, I appreciate all of the gameplay that they showed in the new trailer, but it did a poor job of trying to get me hyped for the game. Put together in a very strange way.
Some details have been revealed:
One of the characters is called Cheria Barnes, who has Throwing Knife Artes and Holy Magic moves in her repertoire. As for the male character shown off, his name is Hubert Ozwell, and he has blue hair (a very important point, obviously...). In his arsenal are the following moves: Double-Blade Artes and Twin Gun Spells.
There are also to be Hissatsuwaza / Special Moves thrown in, which are thought to be similar to Burst Artes, except far more impressive in style. Instead of using 'TP' as usual, a 'Chain Capacity' (CC) system will be employed, something that was introduced in the Tales of Destiny remake. It is a technique reminiscent of the Overlimit in Vesperia whereby players can link attacks together, except there are limitations in the form of a stamina bar that runs down when a specific number of moves are pulled off in a row. For instance, minor moves such as moving backwards a step or jumping whilst in the air will only use 1CC, whilst more powerful moves will drain far more CC, with the gauge only starting to refill by keeping your character stationary for a short time. It is hoped that this will prove to be one of the most user-friendly systems found in any Tales game.

I just uploaded some images of Hubert and Cheria:
It looks great. I like the character art for Pascal the most.
Here's the full batch:
I just received my Wii Tales of Symphonia DotNW today and thatlooks very sweet so far, but this new one is to die for ^-^ Can't wait for a local translation, and at least I won't have to wait forever for a PAL release (we haven't even got ToS:DotNW yet)- that NTSC Wii was worth the money.
