180 Degree Turn

A form of maneuverability that allows the player character to swiftly turn 180 degrees, now facing the opposite direction.
Fixed Camera

The fixed camera was made famous by games such as the Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid franchises. Depending on the camera set, up could be down and left could be right. Even in the later generation of consoles, games like the God of War franchise still use this technique.
Pre-rendered Backgrounds

Static background images that are not drawn in real time.
Stationary Aiming

The inability to walk in any direction whilst shooting a weapon of any sort. The player usually still has the ability to pivot.
WASD Movement

WASD, or WADS, is the most common and often the default setting to move the player character in computer games with a first or third person perspective.
