    Tao is the Sanderson's dog in Chibi-Robo!. As a dog, he loves to chew on bones and toys, which causes the toys to have grudges against him. He lives in the kitchen, but can often be found in the backyard as well.

    Chibi-Robo can speak to and understand Tao when wearing the dog outfit.

    Tao was named after developer Kenichi Nishi's dog Tao, who has since passed on. This character was one among a handful of characters to be named after the canine.
