    Overview

Tappingo is a numerical picture puzzle game for the Nintendo 3DS eShop service, released late February 2014 for the US and early March 2014 for Europe. It is a variant on the Picross sub-genre of puzzle games.

    Gameplay

Tappingo is a puzzle game that has the player filling in parts of a picture using various numbers as clues, similar to Picross. However, these number panels are embedded within the puzzle and the numbers on them represent the correct number of colored panels that will emanate forth in any one of the four cardinal directions. Tapping a number and flicking it in a direction sends a line of color moving out into that direction, which continues until it hits a solid wall. The aim of the game is to ensure all these colored lines only extend as far as the numbered panel indicates, and in doing so eventually reveals a picture.
