    Overview

Target: Renegade is a non-canon sequel to Technos Japan's Renegade. Like its predecessor, it is a side-scrolling brawler where the player must defeat all the opponents on-screen before they can move on.

In Japan, Renegade was the first game in the Kunio-kun franchise of brawlers and other action games; Target: Renegade is not related to that franchise. Its plot sees the protagonist, called only Renegade, either avenging or rescuing his brother Matt by brawling through hordes of goons. The game was later followed by another sequel: Renegade III: The Final Chapter. Target: Renegade is also notable for featuring the music of Tim Follin.
