Tavion first appears in Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast when she was ordered by her master Desann to kill Jan Ors to infuriate her partner Kyle Katarn. She later faces Kyle on Bespin were he defeats her and intends to kill her. However, he lets her live after she tells him that Jan is still alive and where to find her.
Tavion aslo appears in Jedi Academy, as the main antagonist. She has acquired a scepter that lets her steal Force Energy from locations strong in the Force. She has taken up a position as leader of the Disciples of Ragnos, a Sith cult intent on ressurecting Sith Lord Marka Ragnos with Tavion's scepter. She has also taken on an apprentice, Alora, who fights Jaden Korr on Hoth and Taspir. Later, Tavion takes up Rosh Penin as an apprentice also. She is the final boss of Jedi Academy; Jaden will fight her inside the tomb of Marka Ragnos, eventually killing her.
