    I happen to have 2 codes for Team Fortress 2   I had initially assumed they were valueless once it went Free-To-Play.  But the invention of the auto-kicker for free accounts changes that.  So now they possibly have small value for some people.   So, if you are playing TF2, and didn't pay for it, and have bought nothing from ManCo store, and have been having trouble with people blocking you from their games, post here and I'll select 2 kind-of-but-not-really-lucky winners.

    its not for me (i've bought and absolutely love the game) but for a friend of mine.  he seems to like it thus far, but is reluctant to upgrade to premium. so i'd give it to him if i end up being fortunate enough to receive the code. since F2P doesnt get drops, he's not really enjoying the game to its full potential in all its awesomeness.

    You do get drops with a F2P account, just not hats. I've found plenty of new weapons so far.

    are they just the achievement drops, or everything but hats? according to valve, free only gets standard items, but premium gets standard, rare and cosmetic. its kinda ambiguous as to what "standard" refers to.

    I'm curious, what does an upgrade to Premium cost?  I hadn't been paying close attention, so I didn't even know free players didn't get hats.

    cheapest item = .49, but the minimum you can add to your steam wallet is $5

    You get the achievement milestone ones, yes. You also get random weapon drops (primary / secondary / melee), you can also get crates -- but can't open them:
