Valve is up to it again, peppering their special brand of secretive information throughout TF2 and their website.

First, take a look at this video someone put together.

You guys remember the lore around the Halloween update?

Specifically, this censored last will and testament of Zephaniah Mann? It mentions Zephaniah's sons, Redmond and Blutarch. Yeah.

Now head on over to TeamFortress.com.

Those bloodstains on the left of the logo are new.

The top one brings you to the newly uncensored version of that two-year old document, revealing that there was a third son - Gray!

The second one brings you to a birth certificate of sorts, which you can see in the video above, noting that Redmond, Blutarch and Gray were triplets, and that Gray was abducted by someone or something simply known as Eagle!

What is going on?

Is there going to be a third, robotic team? Are there going to be giant class-shaped robots roaming the maps soon?

And why is Valve so awesome with this stuff?

I want a green team! Green is my favorite color.

If its really a third playable team like some people are suggesting, then they chose the worst color for it. Gray is way too close to the color Blue.

Now, if it was a faction of robots that were all AI controlled in a horde mode style gametype.......

Definitely going to be some kind of horde mode I bet.

Crazy conspiracies but looking forward to see what it actually is. Hoard mode? New faction? Singleplayer? Co-op?

I think this is exactly what it is.

I wonder if Gray ends up being a "spoiler" team which will attack either team on some scenarios but yeah the most obvious role would be map bots (*rimshot*).

Is it just me, or are the Scout, Spy, and the Heavy on the top part of TF2's homepage shooting glares towards the Engineer? I dont remember them doing that when I last visited the page a month ago...

Great video with some interesting questions raised but they probably should have added some music that lasts for "3 minutes" as opposed to looping the same song a bunch. It got grating towards the end.

I'm very interested in what this is. I know it is horde mode, but it mentions loot, and a few other things that sound cool.

@dudeglove: It's your imagination. A member of Valve staff confirmed on their forums that all classes will be playable. They excluded some from the trailer because you can only have 6 players per team and 6 is less than 9.

Does that mean if you wear the Purity Fist on Heavy that he is basically a double agent and will kill his teammates when not looking? WOAH.

Wonder what else will be revealed today as Day Two of the Mann vs Machine Update draws nearer? What kind of special loot, new maps (outside of Mannworks), and things will be put up today?

This sounds pretty darn awesome. Cannot wait to shoot me some row bots.

I should really be doing something else, but real life can go eff itself...
