I'm stuck at the section after the pig and you have lift the log out of your way. I can't get the damn touch pad to register where my hand is properly. the finger will pop out next to the log, but i can't get it under the log. any suggestions or help?

You could try to change the how big are your hands setting and see if that helps. Or restart the level. I found all the sections where you have to hold the rear touch to be poor because it won't keep the hold.
