According to Siliconera, the Polish developer has registered a US trademark for Dead World, which suggests that Techland may be looking to expand the game beyond the confines of Dead Island's paradise gone horribly wrong.

I for one think this sounds awesome, as Dead Island is still one of my top-five games of 2011 (and was fun as hell to play co-op). If this is true I do hope they work on the bugs and stuff before releasing anything though.

Thoughts?

I think Dead Island was not very good and I am not interested in a sequel.
