I bought this tv 2 months ago and today I decided to move it, now that I'm done I'm trying it and there is no red what so ever. is it broken or is there a way to fix it? I don't have cable on it, I only have a xbox plugged.
Television
A television set is a device used to view moving images usually accompanied by sound. They often appear in video games and scenery but sometimes have more practical applications.
No red on my tv
You are using component cables. Double check your connections, then shut off and turn back on both the TV and 360. Your cable may just be bad. Check monoprice.com for cheap 360 cables.
" @Pazy said:Are you sure that all 5 cables are connected? Two of the cables are dedicated to sound and 3 are dedicated to video. If you dont have all of the video cables connected correctly then you will get a picture that lacks the correct amount of colours." What cable are you using? If it has three connections (Yellow, White and Red) then make sure all 3 are connnected. If its HDMI them im not sure, it could be a setting in your menu's that let you decide how bright colours are. "I have the green blue and red one "

Try another game system on it, or try watching real TV. If you get red there, it's most likely the cables. Also double check that you are 100% sure each cable is plugged into the correct spot on the TV. If it still doesn't work, buy new cables. If it STILL doesn't work, it's probably a problem with your Xbox's GPU.
Oh man, now you're stuck just playing Dead Redemption...
Sorry, couldn't help myself. I had a similar problem to this and it turned out the jack on the TV had gotten damaged somehow, so I had to plug the cables in a VERY specific way and then keep it in that position by weighing it down. It was a huge pain in the ass, but if you don't want to get a new TV, it might be worth a shot.
I still have the warranty so I'll try a new cable for my xbox if it's not that I'll go for another console and If not I'll call and whine I guess" Oh man, now you're stuck just playing Dead Redemption... When I had this problem with my DLP HDTV it was a component of the TV that was fried, it took them 2 weeks to get it fixed, I sure hope you are not in the same boat.

"My god, you're like Prometheus giving the gift of fire to man.Pour red paint into your TV.
"
Your probally plugging one of the red cables in the orange slot. It's green blue and orange, then there are two seperate audio cables, red and white.

My red wire was plugged in the wrong red slot(it was there was slot for red blue green red and I had to use the first one).... that was retarded
@discost3w: Usually it's suppose to be orange, maybe it's red these days or it's almost the same color. I found the fix, it's just your hdtv isn't the right color, maybe that was like years ago. I knew which cable it was that needed to be swapped. If I didn't post in your thread, you would simply have no idea how to fix it. I am completely right. It's either your color blind or they changed the color to red. Still it's obvious I knew the problem because I knew exactly which cable you plugged in wrong.
You know what's weird though I have two new hdtvs, a toshiba 120hz and a sony bravia 120hz and the sony one has two orange color slots, the toshiba has two red slots. Maybe my older sony rear projection hdtv had an orange and red slot, I could of swear my old component cable for my ps3 had an orange and red plug. Then again that might be older generation stuff, still I solved the problem dispite you thinking i'm not correct, it was the right plug. How did I figure it out? You won't lose a red color completely because each pixel in a hdtv has three colors for the pixel pitch. You can have one burned out for red, however there are like thousands more of these three color pixels that needs to be burnt out. It would only happen on a crt, not a hdtv. Honestly I knew the problem, you should give me more credit dispite me not knowing that newer hdtvs had the same color, you simply didn't read the back of the hdtv and didn't pair up the audio cables with it. In fact you didn't even notice you only had sound out of one side of the speakers either.
