The tease seemed a little too obvious, but the speculation was accurate. Telltale Games is indeed working on a game series based on The Walking Dead. The developer has inked a contract withWalking Dead creator Robert Kirkman to produce multiple games across several platforms. The first game slated to hit in late 2011.

In an interview that followed the announcement, Kirkman didn’t divulge much about the games or the platforms. But he did note that the series would be episodic, as is expected with a developer like Telltale, and said that the games are to be based in the comic book universe as opposed the one seen on the AMC television series.

== TEASER ==In other Telltale in-development news, The Wall Street Journal’s All Things Digital blog is reporting that the developer is also creating a series based on Fables, which is a comic book series about fairy tale characters that live in real-world New York City.

Telltale's announcements certainly don't stop there. The company has revealed that it's returning to the mysterious small-town plight of Nelson Tethers with a new Puzzle Agent sequel. Even more surprisingly, the company has inked a deal with Activision to resurrect some of Sierra On-Line's classic adventure franchises, starting with a King's Quest reboot.

And, lastly, the Jurassic Park series' Web site is now up. You can pre-order the upcoming five-episode series on PC and Mac for $29.99, which is about five dollars off from the normal, slow-poke price. The first game will see a release in April, so the wait won’t be too long. In the meantime, Telltale just gave us an inside look at Jurassic Park; watch it!

Telltale are on fire.
They've successfully revived some of my favourite franchises of all time, really can't wait for King's Quest.

Puzzle Agent didn't do much for me though, there's just a complete over saturation of puzzle games at the moment.  Worse than even FPS'.

will be interested in the Walking Dead stuff, and I want to try the Puzzle Agent out as well.

Wow Telltale is an explosion of development at the moment! Glad we are getting a new Puzzle Agent and a new King's Quest is a very unexpected development considering the indie work on The Silver Lining, I wonder if those two projects will sync up in any way?

This.  And it's Telltale, so yeah, adventure game.  Haven't been disappointed by them yet, so a Fables game by them should be amazing.

I like what Telltale are doing, but I wish they would maybe spend some more time on one game and make it even better. It looks like they are spreading themselves a little thin will all these games in development, I hope that this wont effect the end quality of the games they ship. After watching the JPql and will all the hitches and stiff animations, i fear that it is indeed effecting quality.

Fuck a Walking Dead Videogame, its the show I want. I also don't much care for adventure games, or at least how Tell tale does them. At least its based on the comics.

Worried that they're starting to spread themselves a bit thin, that's like a million games they've got in development right now (give or take a few).

I'm  sorry, what?  A new King's Quest? Unbelievable. I thought hell would freeze over before an official KQ game was ever made again.

i think telltale figured it out, its cheaper to churn out crappy psn/xbl titles with 50k development funds than it is to try to strike it rich with large games

its like with cryptic, they just bank off initial sales, knowing nobody will subscribe in the longrun
