An Action-RPG from Quintet and Enix about the resurrection of the world. Ark has to fix the mess he made and travels around the globe to take part in the most important events in the history of the planet.
So...who's played this game?
"Me!Yeah I got it in Australia as well, sadly it was sold on ebay (not by me) a while ago.
I've got a pretty mint condition copy that I've had since release. We (Australia) got a completely different box-art (the manual and cart label as well) to Europe, a girly pink colour.
I'll prolly update the page when I get some time.

I got mine in Germany, my Grandma bought it for me when I was in elementary school I think. Like some other RPGs on the SNES (Secret of Mana, Lufia, Secret of Evermore) it came in a bigger box, bundled with a game guide.
Playing this game was so much fun, the story telling was awesome and there was so much to discover. I also liked the atmosphere. For example when I came into the town where the Beruga people lived I felt a little uneasy. Or that time when you die and get reborn... that game was and still is deluxe!
Unfortunately I live in the U.S., and Enix decided they didn't like us, so it was never released over here, which ticked me off, because I played Illusion of Gaia to no end. I did recently play the English PAL version, though, and I thought it was awesome. The end was a bit of a downer though.
I have the original Europre cart (I bought it the week it was released), and this is possibly my fav game of all time, everything about this game is just awesome and epic.

I Sir. have played this awesome game. I loved it, almost everything about it, for me it was on par with LttP.
I never realized this was never released in the US. I find that quite shocking.
it's a shame this game gets overlooked so often among the final fantasy sixes, chrono triggers, earthbounds and secret of manas of this world.
I've told this story in many forums, but I love to tell it again: this game is the reason I bought another SNES after I sold it initially (how stupid can one be?^^) to get money for an N64. It basically was my first step into retro gaming. the thought of playing a game on a console from the previous generation seemed ludicrous but I honestly could not live (my gamer life) without playing this game again (this happened in 98 when PCs weren't that common [especially in germany] and I didn't even know what emulation was).
From the story, atmosphere, the music, the gameplay - this game was fantastic, my definitive SNES experience. While americans celebrated Chrono Trigger, we europeans and aussies celebrated Terranigma, it seems. Anybody who played it and owned it when it came out seems to only have the highest praise for this gem. it's not an accident that my avatar is the Terranigma boxart :D
I have. The map screen is fugly as hell, and I preferred the story in Illusion of Gaia but the mechanics and puzzle solving in Terranigma makes it the best Action RPG on the SNES.
I played it, but I never finished it and therefore missed out on all the crazy revelations towards the end. I was intrigued reading about the ending recently. As for the game: With less focus on grinding and a more useful magic system it could have been a classic.
" @StarFoxA said:I can't remember exactly, but I just looked at GameRankings and Terranigma is the lowest of the three." I finished it, didn't really enjoy it. I hear Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia are better. "you hear that where? never heard anyone claim SB and IoG are better oO "
" @DeF said:I guess that's simply because the other two were released worldwide and therefore should have a larger fanbase" @StarFoxA said:I can't remember exactly, but I just looked at GameRankings and Terranigma is the lowest of the three. A friend lent me his copy of Terranigma and Illusion of Gaia -- they're both great games.
