The APC lends protection from small-arms fire to infantry units in transit. An element of 20th and 21st century warfare, it is often depicted in futuristic settings.
A stationary gun that automatically shoots at targets.
A baton is a weapon used mainly for law enforcement. Kurtis Stryker from the Mortal Kombat series uses a baton.
Aperture Science's infamous and lost vessel.
Brand of drink manufactured by the Combine.
A dropship usually refers to a ship that ferries troops, heavy armor, and supplies from carriers in orbit to a planet's surface. Sometimes it refers to any futuristic in-atmosphere transport that is not a helicopter or airplane.
So powerful, so deadly and yet small enough to fit in your hand. The frag grenade is in almost all shooter and action games.
A grenade is an explosive device traditionally thrown by hand, but may also be propelled by a rifle or launcher.
Gunships are flying aerial assault vehicles and/or transports that play roles in many different games.
Helicopters are flying vehicles, typically with a single large main rotor to maintain lift with a tail rotor to counter rotation induced by this main rotor. They are useful in air to ground combat as well as for quickly inserting and recovering infantry close to the front line.
Whether it's worn for protection or style, helmets appear in various game genres.
The hazardous environment suit protects from hazards and enhances the abilities of Gordon Freeman throughout the Half-Life series.
A heavy Combine attack helicopter based from the Half-Life series. Quickly pursues and attacks targets typically in urban areas.
A mine attached to a wall with a laser beam pointing outwards. When the beam is crossed, it goes BOOM.
Machine guns, generally, are heavier weapons with a rapid rate of fire. To quote the Quake manual, they "eat ammo like popcorn."
A physical technological doorway that connects two distant locations.
The Rollermine is an electrically charged spherical device in the Half-Life games that reacts to movement, thus attacking the player when he enters its detection radius.
The premier choice in your defensive needs. A great companion for any one handed sword, which in addition to blocking can be used for advanced maneuvers like Shield Bashes.
The most powerful weapon at short range. Effective against Zombies, Nazis, Demons, etc. Videogame shotguns tend to have exaggerated inaccuracy at long range- real life shotguns are still fairly accurate over a decent distance, while videogame shotguns rarely go more than fifteen feet before becoming completely ineffective.
The weapon of choice for accuracy at long distances. The sniper rifle's slow rate of fire makes it ineffective for close range combat, but its high calibre round ensures that it inflicts maximum damage against the target.
A spaceship is a vehicle capable of traversing the vacuum of space.
A firearm capable of firing pistol ammunition automatically. Favored for shorter distances, or dealing death indoors.
A surveillance camera transmits a signal to a set of monitors. They are usually found in high security areas.
A train is a series of connected vehicles that move along a single or double railed track.
dont drive over that...
A gun turret is weapon mount designed to protect the user or mechanisms of a weapon system. The weapon itself is not a turret, but rather the protective housing of the user or mechanisms of the weapon system.
