    The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall from Bethesda Softworks is an enormous RPG and sequel to The Elder Scrolls: Arena. It includes a massive gameworld and pioneering freeform play. It was well received for these factors, but was criticised for a number of crippling bugs.

    Sweet more Elder Scrolls to play is always good. I wish they would do same same with all elder scrolls games before Morrowind, Id like a chance to play the 2 action games they put out but I cant find them and theres a couple mobile games I never got a chance to play (though I did play Travels: Shadowkey).

    Bethesda seems to be one of the few companies nowadays that understands pricing for their 13 year old games.

    Yeah, I hopped on this as soon as I learned of it.  I wonder if it's the latest patched version, though.  That game was a monster ;)

    Too bad it's downloading so slow... and unfortunately, this game doesn't meet my graphical tolerance threshold. The oldest game from that perspective that I can stomach to play is the original Half-Life. I was never a Doom or Quake person, since I didn't even own a PC at that time. Hell, even the old Morrowind is looking too aged for me to play. I'm going to try to suck that up and still play what I can of this, though. I really love the Elder Scrolls game world, and I'd love to see some of the areas they've done in the past that I've only heard about and seen on maps of the games from Morrowind on.

    I have the old CD, but I'm not sure where to get patches.  If I could find a patch and update my CD version, and it's better than their free version, I might just stick with that, since it's taking too long to download from their servers right now.

    Yes.  I love Daggerfall (minus the terrible random dungeons)


    For me, its:

    Morrowind > Daggerfall = Arena  > Oblivion

    Not a fan of Oblvion :(  but still was an excellent game.  Morrowind for life though.

    Dosbox might help (havent tried it yet, though I will in a minute im just installing it again). http://www.dosbox.com/

    EDIT: Looks like Dosbox is definately needed. At least on Windows 7 it dosent even attempt to run but in Dosbox it works awesomly :)

    Is it gonna be 5 years then till Morrowind is free?  Then 10 years till Oblivion is free? 
    Would some of you they rather announced ES5 instead of giving this out for free?
