I just started playing regularly after trying two or three times on both PC and PS4. The game's finally clicked for me and I'm enjoying playing it as a solo game with other people running around doing their own thing. Seems like guilds/parties aren't necessary except for one quest line (The...Undaunted?).

The GB guild appears to be dead based on forum chatter with Morrowwind's release, but are any duders still playing on their own or as part of a non-GB guild? That wouldn't kill a noob but might offer some suggestions on if I'm on the right track?

Hey! I've also just started about a month and a half ago, and have solo-ed most of the time (with the occasional daily random dungeons). I'm playing as a Tank/Healer Templar on PC, NA megaserver. It would be nice to actually have a small casual group to adventure with every now and then. I am currently living in Brunei (Southeast Asia, UTC+08.00) and tend to play around 7 to 10+ pm (local time) on weekdays. I keep play time more fluid on weekends/public holidays/days off work.
