Nobody seems to talk about Skyrim anymore. The only storyline i have beaten is the Companions. What should i do next, the main story, the civil war, dark brotherhood, college of winterhold or thieves guild?

The fifth installment in Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise is set in the eponymous province of Skyrim, where the ancient threat of dragons, led by the sinister Alduin, is rising again to threaten all mortal races. Only the player, as the prophesied hero the Dovahkiin, can save the world from destruction.
Am I the only person who has not finished this game?
@Cubidog1: theives guild, and don't worry people will start talking about Skyrim again very soon when the expansions come out.
Still haven't finished my first guild (Thieves). Once the novelty wore off, my hatred of fantasy is making it hard for me to play much of Skyrim anymore. I still got 20-odd hours of "WTFAWESOME" out of it, though, so even on the off chance that if I never touch it again, I'm satisfied.
I'm partial to the Dark Brotherhood's complete questline, as it gets pretty intense towards the end there. And no worries: it took me around 90 hours to reach Skyrim's closing moments. It's worth experiencing for the shouts alone.
might want to have that depend on how you are playing.. the gear you get for finishing those could help you out in the rest of the game.
parts pf the thieves guild were allright, but restoring it to former glory was boring.. same with the dark brotherhood.
the college stuff was pretty cool imo and i enjoyed the main story and war parts
also, you never finish Skyrim.. nobody has finished it.. but after 100-200 hours you have seen enough to go play other games. i still play it every now and then though, just to chill out in the world and do some hunting
I will probably never finish it.
But I also probably will never start it. Or buy it unless it's on Steam for $5 and I'm feeling impulsive.

What do you want to do? Do you want to become more powerful? Do you want to become sneakier? Do you want to know more about the world? Do you want a nicer house? Do you want better armor? Do you want to become rich?
Honestly, my advice is to boot up the game, step outside, spin around for a random amount of time, and head in whatever direction you land in. You WILL find something to do. And, honestly, if you can't find anything to do in this game then this isn't the game for you. If you really need a direction, though, just finish the main quest because it gives you some good and handy stuff.
Also, very few have finished this game in the sense that they've literally done every quest (that isn't random) in the game.
Nope. Last I played I was 135 hours in and hadn't finished DB or the mages guild, let alone the main quest. Will probably pick it up when they announce the DLC.
This isn't a multi-player game, so does it really matter how many people are playing it?
I got Skyrim for Christmas and I still haven't started playing. Still plan on enjoying every moment of it when I do.
Also, someone in the neighbourhood is playing loud music at 01:40 AM on a Monday morning. Fuck.
When you consider everyone has a life it is not surprising to see that a lot of people haven't finished Skyrim. Then again a lot of people think S-ranking it is enough to consider it finished.
I'm almost 300 hours in and I've still a few Dark Brotherhood quests to do, and the whole civil war questline. Do the Daedric quests. You get good booty and some of the quests are really good. Especially 'A night to Remember' that can be started at the inn in Whiterun. The worst questline would be the companions questline.
I'm not finished yet...150 hours in, done with the companions and Mage questlines, getting there on the civil war stuff and main quest. Frankly, I'm kinda ready to be done w/ this until the DLC comes out. Probably won't even finish the main story until sometime in the spring or whenever i've beaten ME3.
You should to the college of winterhold, I am very satisfied wit it so far and I hear that you get the big arch mage room when you complete all of the quests.
83 hours in, still havent finished the main storyline or any of the major quests. Enjoying my time with my Wood Elf, installing mods slowly, ranking up even slower.
The Elder Scrolls games are supposed to last an age. Anyone who's shelves it already or wasted their gameplay time grinding and spamming iron daggers to rank up is... someone who doesn't understand why they bought the game.
I'm about 80 hours and I haven't finished any quest line, just a bunch of misc quests, but a lot of them are worth the time anyway, and I spent a lot of the time without fast travelling.
People don't talk about it anymore because pretty much anything that could be said about it has been. I finished Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood and Main, gone through a few sidequests (mostly Daedric) but not many, am Level 40 and I've burned myself out. I just don't want to do the Companions, the Mages College or the Civil War stuff. Nor do I want to wander randomly just to kill a few more bandits or undead who pose little threat to me now or fight a dragon every time I fast travel anywhere. I don't feel like I'm missing out. I had fun with the game. If I were to force myself to do those other questlines or clear out some caves, it would diminish that fun. I don't think Skyrim is a game you finish in a traditional sense. I think you're finished with Skyrim when you can no longer think of anything you want to do with it.
just topped 70 hours, level 36 i think, probably close to finishing the main story quest, just started a quest called The Fallen
haven't touched the other larger side quests like thieves guild or DB, companions etc
mostly just been running around the world, i think i've hit at least 95% of the caves and settlements
completed probably 30 smaller side quests
really enjoying it; even 70 hours in, i don't feel any reason to stop playing, never played a game this long and thought that,
longest time spent in a world was probably mass effect and that was only 35 hours (also GTAIV but that was 20 for story and probably another 20 of half hour sessions just blowing stuff up)
and i felt ready to leave - although i'm now 17 hours into ME2 and its also keeping my interest; probably one of my favourite universes created in a game
i think i've enjoyed this generation most, its probably just because i'm at an age where i can appreciate it more but i never used to finish games and i've felt compelled to finish any i've bought;
mostly because i like games with story and i think stories and storytelling have become the centre of many larger games this generation and is done so well

More generally,
Question Template: Am I the only...?
Answer Template: No.
I almost considered getting this on PS3, but decided to just wait until I build a new pc (probably late summerish) and I'm super glad I did >_>;;;;

This represents how I feel about the game... unfortunately
After a while I started to get the burn out and just got sick of the repetition and broken leveling mechanics. I got sick of making daggers by the 100s to level up and other stupid things. Also, I got sucked into amalaur and I am still enjoying that. Skyrim is a great game though and I will go back eventually.
I don't even know what that means. I've got like 130 hrs, I finished the main story, but not the civil war story. Still have a TON of unfinished quests. Didn't do the Dark Brotherhood, the Companions, and not too far into the college of winterhold. So no, I'm not even clost to finished.
However I had to stop playing for a while. I still plan to come back, but I don't know when
I'm in the same boat. hit 40 hours and then just kind of lost interest for the time. I will defiantly go back and finish it but I get fatigued with Bethesda games sometimes. Same thing happened with Fallout 3 for me.
