I am going to let my wife start her own adventure in Skyrim, but I prefer unlocking the achievements myself. Is there a way, with her character on my steam account, that I can disable or lock out achievements in this game?

There is no direct way to disable the achievements that I know of, the only idea I have is that you could SAMto save the state that they are at or to just disable the achievements that she may get.

Have her play in offline mode.  Steam will not award achievements unless you're online and logged in to Steam when you meet the requirements.

Who cares who gets them no matter what they go on your account.

Why don't you enable cheats on her save file and not on yours? Doing that should "disable" achievements but it shouldn't fuck with yours.

Simple solution: leave your wife. Or play in offline mode, either way.

I was going to say, I'm pretty sure you aren't awarded achievements in offline mode.

PLaying in offline mode does NOT disable achievements. I still get them and I play in Offline mode. I would love to know how to turn them off though.
