i'm watching some gameplay videos and i see a LOT of dialogue and people that won't stfu.

if i just want to go through and murder every person that tries to speak to me, will that work? i don't want to talk to any of them.

As far as I have read, it is the same as Oblivion.

Quest-Crucial NPC's will not be killable, they will just be knocked out when they would die. Everyone else is killable, though if it is like Oblivion, they will run like hell as soon as you hit them. Chasing NPC's that are screaming for guards can be deadly.

It was always possible in the previous games, there might be a few NPC that will just fall unconsious, but that's about it :)

If you go around killing everyone early on, the guards will likely destroy you. :-)

Probably you will, but I don't think you're going to like it very much if that is your approach

You COULD (or at least KO them), but good luck advancing through the game if you do. If you don't want to talk to any NPCs, you're playing the wrong game.

Yes. But they're entirely invulnerable. Your hits always swing right through them. You're never allowed to murder a child in a game--from what I understand.

If Skyrim is anywhere near as moddable as previous Bethesda titles, this is a controversy waiting to happen.

Think children will be able to report criminal activities? It will suck if a non-killable thing can get me a bounty over and over again

Fallout 2 allowed you to do this. My avatar is the (cut from the game) "child killer" brand from that game. In the German version, the kids were still there but invisible and they would totally still talk to you.

Sounds like this game isn't for you. Maybe you should just stick with MW3.
