I don't think I am capable of playing both at the same time especially considering how dark souls can be, so which of the two should I pop in and finish first? Any advice =D

The fifth installment in Bethesda's Elder Scrolls franchise is set in the eponymous province of Skyrim, where the ancient threat of dragons, led by the sinister Alduin, is rising again to threaten all mortal races. Only the player, as the prophesied hero the Dovahkiin, can save the world from destruction.
Getting Skyrim and Darksouls today, which should I play first?
buying both on the same day is nuts imo. no way you can play both. i would of bought one and buy the time i was ready to play the other it would be much cheaper.
both are fantastic games though. although i think Skyrim is the better overall game.
Why would you even get those two games at the same time? Both are extremely time-consuming. I played Dark Souls more than 160 hours already (about 100 hours for the first playthrough but I did a lot of side-stuff) and I am still not completely done with it.
Skyrim is probably A LOT easier to get into whereas Dark Souls will frustrate you a lot. So if you start with Dark Souls, there's a high chance Skyrim will make you put Dark Souls down somewhere in the middle which will kinda ruin the DS experience.
Darks Souls and Skyrim at the same day....nuts.
I would also go with skyrim. It's easier to get into and Dark souls will frustrate you sometimes and i just can't imagine how i would not pick up skyrim during those moments of rage instead and then you wont go back to dark souls, or if you do you will rage even more.
I love dark souls and they both have their strengths, but honestly nothing can compete with the awesomeness of skyrim, a GotY for sure.
If you are Dovahkiin, play Skyrim. If you're a masochist, play Dark Souls. If you're a giant soft squish mitten, play something else.
Dark souls! If you play Skyrim first it will sour Dark Souls. You wont be able to play it after Skyim. It's like the first time you have anal sex with out a condom in the shower. Doing it with a skin under the sheets never measures up.
Can't go wrong with either. I'd probably say DS first, only since an active online community is pretty benficial to its existence.
And yeah guys I know it is pretty insane to get both right now but I do not care!!!! I must have both!

Be careful you don't develop OCD syndrome from playing both together in short succession. Have fun, though!
I'd suggest Skyrim first, simply because it's much tougher to go from the tight, refined combat in Dark Souls to the slippy slidey sloppy Elder Scrolls stuff.
DS raises expectations about what sword and shield medieval combat should be like. Going from that to Skyrim is like stepping back in time really.
Skyrim first - both are great games but going from Dark Souls to Skyrim you can't help but feel like Skyrim's combat system is pretty hack and slash for the most part.
Enjoy the story and countless diversions in Skyrim first. Then play Dark Souls. Trust me, Dark Souls will be around and have plenty of players for a long time. And you could beat either game quickly if that's all you wanted to do, but really playing them for fun, you could easily sink 150 hours into either game.
And when you are done with Skyrim, you'll be done with Skyrim. When you are done with Dark Souls, you'll still have reason to keep the game around and go back sometime.
Some guy beat Dark Souls in an hour and a half. But it took him 100+ hours of playing and planning to be able to do that though...
same, though I havent played skyrim yet, it seems like the kind of game you would think about even if you werent playing it
