Anyone care to share their theories on The Eternal Cylinder's plot? I think it's safe to say they won't reuse the plot twist from Zeno Clash on this title. But there's a lot going on here with the Mathematician and his....appendages.

Trebhums are an introduced species and the cylinder is the mutually assured destruction system designed to reset the plant. Because they're so intelligent, they're able to trigger the cylinder to literally crush the competition and somehow position themselves as the ultimate apex predator.

Sprinkle in a little Fast and Furious "Family" narrative to make them more relatable to the player and BAM! The narrator identifies himself as David Attenborough and he calls you the real monster for wiping out an entire planet's flora and fauna.
