The King of Fighters
The King of Fighters began as a crossover fighter featuring SNK's Art of Fighting and Fatal Fury series, but has since become the company's flagship franchise.
The King of Fighters Movie Will Be Silly, Bad, or Both

I really didn't think King of Fighters was that well-known outside of the gaming world to warrant a movie. I was also unaware there was a story to any of it.
Prediction: This won't be "more than just a videogame movie." It'll probably just be a newer, more obscure Mortal Kombat Annihilation. If it's that unintentionally funny, I may want to see it.
The lady who is playing Mature had the best description possible, "we have moves that work together and we fight everybody".
Ok, while I am not too familiar with the KOF series, this looks like it is going to be horrible. The premise sounds stupid, the producers are taking it way too seriously, and the actors look like d-bags. Any time you try to apply a story to something that is devoid of one in the first place it is doomed to failure. Watching that clip actually pissed me off a bit because of how idiotic it looks. Ok, I feel better now. =)
Awesome!!! Can't Wait!!!
Oh, and BTW Mace: The Dark age coming soon to a cinema near you folks!!!
I am one of the few that liked Legend of Chun--Li, but I don't know if a King of Fighters movie will work.
can't wait for this movie to come out!!! its gonna be awesome. its going to be waaay better than the DOA movie, or even SF:the Legen of Chun-Li
omg, noooooo. This is not good, seeing Vice & Mature just the kiss of death for me. Also Shizuru & Iori was like big no for me. They can even make a good KoF Anime, this movie as no hope to be any good.
I think the story of the games revolve around a fighting tournament or something? I don't know. Maybe I'm confusing it with every other fighting game ever made.
This movie should not be happening.
WHY DOES EVERYONE SEEM TO WANT TO MAKE A JAPANESE ARCADE FIGHTING GAME INTO A MOVIE?! NONE HAVE WORKED SO FAR! JUST QUIT HOLLYWOOD!
I fully expect this to be on the same level as the recent Street Fighter movie, both in terms of tanking at the box office and having universal critical disdain. STOP MAKING MOVIES BASED ON FIGHTING GAMES! (or all games really, as TANG has proven)
What I don't understand is why they keep making movie's of fighting games? They don't really have the deepest stories.
I don't get why, if they are set on making a movie on a fighting game, they don't just copy the shit out of Bloodsport. There is a fighting tournament and Jean-Claude Van Damne wants to win it so he does a split and punches some guy in the balls.
Roll credits. Done.
I think a fighting game film could work, in theory. It's been a while since I watched MK, but i seem to recal enjoying it - that could be a misslead youth thing though. DOA was good for perves and giggles...
There's nothing better then a well correographed fitghing scene between skilled fighters. Sadly I'm sure this film will lack both of those elements.
Looks like the KoF movie will be following the Street Fighter movie formula: focus on ANYone but the actual protagonists of the game (in this case Kyo and Iori)
if this movie doesn't have Terry Bogard in it then it's was pointless to even make it, because introducing him could lead into a fatal fury movie since Mai is already in this
What the FUCK man?! I thought SN fucking K would be the last video game company to have Hollywood do a King of Fighters movie.
I hate to be "that guy", but the whole Orochi saga is actually about three artifacts, so, at least they're on track there.
And another "that guy" comment: if you think KOF is a second-rate fighting game, you don't know jack about fighting games.
Yeah, I said it.
I want GB to have its own setup for fighting game characters where you actually get to select profiles of characters like it was a character selection screen in-game.
Then: achieve Nirvana.
The only things that matter in a movie like this is the cast and the choreography. The rest can suck as much balls as it wants to, but if the fights promise to be awesome I'm in.
See Tekken.
Capoeira guy from Tom yum goong, bald parkour dude from Banlieue 13, Shang Tsung, Gary Daniels, Cung Lee, ball-waving schoolgirl from Kill Bill, freaky albino dude from Hellboy II, and the girl who once played Girl #1 in The Bold and the Beautiful. How can this not be fantastic?
