I was not aware of the old commercial until I read the comments. I won't say that I think remaking it was the right move, since a lot of people won't get it, but it does make a pretty good side by side comparison possible.

Ugh, my Zelda heart hurts seeing that.

I love that they remade the 1998 trailer.

Also who remembers seeing this trailer in movie theaters? God it was so amazing. Some people seem to forget that the trailer was kind of a big deal. It was the first fully 3D Zelda after all.

I probably dont remember that commercial cause its awful.

I wish Nintendo just released a nextgen Gameboy, PS Vita style. I don't want to buy a 3DS for this (but I want to play it the remake badly) :(

What a bizzare trailer for one of the greatest games of all time.

First I just thought this was a weird trailer, then I saw the original a few minutes ago and it's still a weird trailer but at least it makes sense.

It's a complete reproduction of the original trailer for Ocarina of Time, obviously meant to appeal to the people who first saw it back in 98.

I can't believe people are calling this trailer weird. When I saw it the first time when Ocarina was nearing release, I thought it was the coolest trailer ever. When I see it now, I still think it's the coolest trailer ever. 
 
I was teetering on the fence on whether or not to get this, but after I saw this trailer on my 3DS from the e-shop, well it's just gotta happen.

It's pretty sad how people who were younger than ten years of age in '98 refuse to look anything up before posting something like omg wut fail.. 

In case it isn't abundantly clear at this point, this is a reproduction of the 98 commercial. It's supposed to be cute. Even if it isn't for you, the people sentient enough to remember this got a kick out of it, I assure you. 
 
Also they used the same music in the twilight princess reveal, and people went nuts. Sort of a traditional music choice at this point. Deeeaaallll wittthhh itttttt.

I REALLY hate to say this, but I'm buying a 3DS just for this game. A $250 purchase for a game I've played 100 times before.
