In the Zelda games you get the choice of naming your character? I was wondering what you guys name your character? Do you name him LINK or your own name? Or maybe something completely different.
 
I prefer naming him Link. I don't know, I just think that's how it should be.

I always call him Link because THAT IS HIS NAME.

In b4 'I call him "ass" or "cock" '

I like my Elfmen Links and my Horses Epona.

my ex girlfriend's brother named him zelda once.

Always Link, I normally change the horse name though.

Started Ocarina of Time and called him Zora since it was a cool name I'd heard somewhere that year. Realised not too long into the game where I'd heard it. :S
 
I don't usually call him Link though, even if it's his real name. Usually a different nickname of some sort.

I always use my name on the first play-through.

I always leave his name as Link, unless I do another playthrough, in which case then I usually use my own name.

In related news, I named my horse in TP with the name Donkey.

I always name characters my own name when given the option.

If it's just me in the room, he ended up with my name. If my brothers or my roommates are around, his name suddenly got a whole lot dirtier.

My own name most of the time. I have although booted up some old copies of the gameboy pocket games and seen full save files with LINK.

I've done both, but recently I've just gone with Link.

I just leave it as link I normally default the names.

Link and Epona. 

I usually use the characters "real" names in all games where they have "real" names.

In The Wind Waker, he was Ivan.

He was Link for me in Link's Awakening for the GB and OoT for the N64.

i always go with link.

Wow I cant believe with how many people go with Link.  I did that for my first play of Links Awakening, cuz his name was in the title!  But after that, i realized it was gay to name him Link if Nintendo gives you the option of naming him.  So I name him HBK, Bitch, Ass, Jeff.  But then I hated that when I would steal, they would just call me thief.

Always Link. That's who he is, and will always be. If they ever change his name I shall be very put out.

I rarely go with default names in video games, except for the Legend of Zelda series. Link is such a bad-ass name, why would anyone want to give him something different?

Actually generally I just name him my name. Never thought about that actually. But saying that I don't play Zelda often.

Ha! I never actually thought of that. I'd usually name him Link without thinking about it. Great Question.

I always use the default names in all games that allow name changes but provide a default.  I really don't care about names and with an iconic character like Link, it is best to just call him that so everyone know what the hell you're talking about.

Link is Link. Though I called the characters in Mario Tennis on the GBA "Whore" and "Fucker" respectively. I may have not a sophisticated sense of humor, but hilarity ALWAYS ensues when your character listens to "Hey Whore!" abuse all the time.

Poo or bitch are choice names when you're 8 years old. I just leave it as Link nowerdays.

I would always use my own, but now I just use Satune.

I usually use different names but later on I decided to simply name him Link.

I call him Hahahahaha.

If you name him anything other than Link you need to be put down.

I give him my name usually, avoids confusion when family or roommates want to start a game. Having 3 Links on the load screen can be confusing.
