I would be really interested to see a breakdown of favorite Zelda game by age. I strongly suspect that there is a significant correlation.

Only ever finished as of right now, Wind Waker and Skyward Sword but have played all of them apart from four swords and spirit tracks i think. But they are all good and i love the music of them all to, would love to see the orchestra live one day. i sold my wii u recently and its guna be shit not being able to play the new one when it comes out, I'm hoping they port it over to the NX like twilight with the wii. Still i hope its as good as everyone imagines it will be.

I always approach these lists not just in terms of the game itself but also taking into account a game's impact and legacy. With that in mind, it can only be either A Link to the Past or Ocarina of Time. Given that I prefer 3D Zelda to 2D, I'm going with Ocarina as best in series. That said, at times I feel like 2D and 3D Zeldas should be considered separately since they are quite different experiences.

I started with OoT and have very fond memories for it from my childhood but after I played LTTP, I knew that was my favorite Zelda game ever, hands down. I'm glad it came to the 3DS, now I can play it more often.

I love Link's Awakening so much. It has great music and a really odd story. I know it can't be the most technically impressive or beautiful of the series but damn I love that game nontheless.

Link's Awakening

Ocarina of Time

A Link Between Worlds

A Link to the Past

Wind Waker

Majora's Mask

Link's Awakening was my first Zelda game and it's always been dear to my heart. I never played Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask until I was an adult.
