    The Matrix Online was an MMORPG that continued the story of the Matrix franchise past the third film, 'Revolutions'. The game featured a unique 'Interlock' combat system, flexible skill allocation and a constantly evolving storyline that players could interact with. The game was shut down on July 31st, 2009.

    When I first heard about it, I was like hells yeah this could be fun.

    But then a mod on what was essentially a MMORPG and really poor server bugs and such killed the game.

    Looked great on paper though I tell ya.

    I played this in a beta and for a few months after launch. The game did have its problems but the community and live events are still the best in any MMO to date. The time i spent on this game is probably the best MMO experience i have ever had. Then SOE came along and did what they do best... fuck up and kill MMO's.

    i played this for a pretty long time and i really enjoyed it. i quit because everyone started to quit so it felt empty. i dont know if the server still works though. i had more fun in this mmo than any other.

    I played a shit load of this game a long time back. I decided to quit because I just started losing interest and was not as fun. Still a decent MMO.

    wow, after reading these comments (i never checked on this thread after i started it)  it seems like The Matrix Online actually had something going for it. Oh Well!

    I used to be a huge fan of everything matrix, but i never got around to playing this, mainly because i dont have an adequate pc.
