    The protagonist of System Shock, the nameless hacker gets far more than he bargained for when he hacks into TriOptimum's computer network. After being caught accessing confidential data, he is coerced into removing the safety restraints of Citadel Station's artificial intelligence, SHODAN, then later must destroy it.
