I have never played TF2 before but just picked uo The Orange Box. Am I too late or is it still possible for a rookie to have some fun on it?

imo its never too late to get into an online game. only a year ago, i started playing quake 3 and cs 1.6. i would say that im okay at both games, i usually have a 1-1 ratio.

I doubt it's too late.  Start as an engineer -- people will tell you where to build things, and then you try to protect them.  The rest comes easy.  Or, if you're pretty good at FPS's already , maybe try the soldier.

There's always a place for someone on a team in TF2, what with the classes and how they each pertain to different play styles.
