Overview
One of the first "edutainment" titles ever released. The Oregon Trail quickly grew to become a popular franchise. The idea for most of the games is that the player must manage a family of 19th century settlers trying to cross the Oregon Trail. The player must buy, enough food and supplies and manage them to successfully complete the trip. As the game has an educated value, many gamers were introduced to the series through School (particularly the Apple 2 version).
