Ok so I just got the new Special Edition of the game, I was wanting to play one of my favourite games again, but with voice and maybe new music.

What do I find? well I can go back to Classic Mode but I can't pick what I want to be Classic! I want to play the Classic look, as I don't really like the new look. It dose not look supper bad...maybe bar Guybursh looks odd (don't get me wrong the backgrounds look nice but the way it animates is just off and dose not look right. I am hoping that they or someone patch this or mods it.

    Any body with me?

Totally. Haven't bought it yet, but I really don't like the way Guybrush looks, especially his hair. They should have made it look like Curse.

I can see where you are coming from, more choice is better.  For me though I think as soon as voice was introduced Monkey Island lost something... so no voice would be my choice.  Strangely I don't feel this way about later adventure games that started with voice-work.  I can't imagine DOTT working without it.

@Ghostin: That is fine,  with me I just want to have the Option to do it both ways. Options > No Options

I'm surprised they even included the classic mode but I'm gad it's there. I like to keep switching between the two just to see how they've changed things. I think they didn't include the voice acting so it was just the pure classic experience for those who want to just play the original game.

@JeffGoldblum: I have a PC still running dos for games like this so I know about Classic. With Lucas putting out old game just as, I would think that can give the options in the Special Edition to have the best of both worlds

It would be nice but it's nice but it's not really a big deal to me as I'm playing in the new mode.

The weird thing is. In the videos they were showing of it. The classic mode had voice overs. Oh well.

@mracoon: Well good for you, but the way that new mode animates and made me not want to see it, everything looks ok still, but moving No thanks.

I am now going stop my bitching, nothing that can be done now, a guy yelling on-line dose nothing. I am just going hope for a patch.

I like it how it is. Classic mode is classic. Classic music, classic graphics, classic everything.
