    The Smelly Mystery is set in the world of Mercer Mayer's "Little Monster Private Eye" setting. One night, some friends are having a sleep over when they discover the food in refrigerator has switched smells. The next day, smells all over town have been mixed up. Obviously, something nefarious is up and it's up to the friends to discover who did it and how to fix it. The player guides the storybook along, searching out clues in each page of the storybook. The game also includes a "Mugs" option, to play a face-building mini-game.
