    The blades were originally owned by Azzinoth, a doomguard commander, however Illidan Stormrage slayed Azzinoth during the War of the Ancients taking the blades from his corpse and trained himself to use them.
     

    World of Warcraft

    The legendary quality dual blades were made available to World of Warcraft players in patch 2.1.0 with the release of the Black Temple raid instance. The blades are two seperate items, a main-hand and an off-hand which drop from the final boss of the Black Temple Illidan Stormrage. The blades can only be wielded by Warriors and Rouges.
