I love the TV series so much, the best one ever created. I haven't read the Comics, so I'm wondering, Is it more related to the TV series or the Comics? Is the game as good as the TV series? I must admit I haven't followed the news related to the game.

It's more related to the comics then the show but it's pretty much it's own story. And it's better written then the show IMO. You'd probably love it.

Anyway, I've heard people complain that the second season of the TV show drags, whereas I've heard almost zero major complaints about the game. I haven't had a chance to play it myself (won't have time until Christmas break), but by just about all accounts, if you already like The Walking Dead, then you should enjoy the video game just as much.

I've only seen the first season of the tv show and I really could not get in to it. The game on the other hand I find is fantastic.

I really enjoyed the first season of the show, really disliked the second. The third is coming together very well though, and it's pulled me right back in -- just as it goes on a break. ARGH.

Anyway, the game is better in some aspects. I found that some episodes were pretty slow and slightly boring, but it ramped up in the end and had a fantastic closure to the series.

Both have their ups and downs. I think the game has you more emotionally attached, especially as you get into the final chapters. I don't think there's better character development than the relationship between your character Lee and Clementine in either media.

It's better.

I would say the TV show is easily the weakest element of The Walking Dead as a franchise, so yeah play the game, read the comics.

I've only played the first episode and didn't really like playing it nor did I care about what was happening. It's definitely better than the TV show.

I agree with many of the previous posters, read both compendiums and up to date on the TV series, only 3 "episodes" into the game and I am already calling it my GOTY.

Season 3 of TWD was great in my opinion, it's a bit weird comparing games and video games but yeah you should try the game, it's pretty good.

better then the TV series, not as good as the comics.

The TV series still has amazing make up effects.

But, yeah, the game is probably my favorite of the year, and I've no idea who Daryl is (which answers the second question).

Honestly it doesn't really matter that much if it's connected to the comics or TV show more, since it has almost nothing to do with either outside of a few cameos. (The major ones being present in both.) It's a self-contained story.

I like the show, even though it has it's share of issues, but the game is better. People complain that it's not interactive enough, but it's interactive in the right ways to make you invested in these characters in a way that the TV show or even comics cannot replicate.

They're different with some basic similarities. The focus on group dynamics and dealing with the new world is shared between the show and game. The difference is that, with the game, because there is less time to fill and only two real paramount characters there is more unpredictability and, usually, a faster pace to the game. So, to me, the game is the better experience. But I imagine fans of the show would like the game as well.

Thank you everyone for your comments, I will give the game a try even if I'm not fond of episodic games.

pre season 3, I would have definitely said the game. But season 3 has been amazing so far, so they are pretty close. Can't really decide.

I think the comic and the game are both better than the TV show. Most of the best stuff in the show comes from the comics, and tons of comic stuff has been cut already from the show.

Better. But don't go in expecting a tv show wannabe. It has its own story. Which is almost better than the tv.

I find the TV show to be poor at best, and the game to be mediocre and overrated. I am probably in the vast minority with at least one of those opinions, so take it for what it's worth. As you seem to like the TV series, I imagine the game would be right up your alley, even though only a couple of characters form the show are in it (and only briefly).

Your taste sucks so much that i can't really tell if you are gonna like the game since it is pretty fantastic.

I've only seen the 1st season of the Walking Dead, I really disliked it, especially the main character's wife. The game, on the other hand, is probably one of my favourite games of the past decade.

Daryl is actually one of the better characters on the show, and I'm not saying that as a slight against the show. (Well, maybe a little.)

I have watched every episode of the TV series and I played and completed the game. The game is easily better than the TV show. It's not even close.

@Zeik: Eh, maybe when stacked against the mishandled versions of great characters like Andrea and Carl but Daryl is one of the worst characters of the series when compared to Abraham or Tyreese from the comics.

I enjoyed the game moreso than the first 3 seaons of the TV show. So yeah take that for what it's worth.
