Are there any mods that are must haves? I played this a wile ago but stopped right at the start when you arrived at that small village. Any suggestions? Some fun mods maybe? Or should  just play Vanilla? 

Vanilla, the Director's Cut adds enough.

I only used the texture mods and scabbard mod, just made the game slightly better looking.  Scabbard mod is kinda buggy.
