The pilot of The World Ends With You anime is out today. Don't know about other countries but in the US it's on Hulu & Funimation. It's only in Japanese with English subs. Don't know how many episodes it's supposed to be but you have to assume it will end not long before the sequel game Neo comes out on July 27th.

As a fan of the game I decided to check out the first episode. Wowee wow! Wasn't sure if this would work as an anime but so far I'm way into it. I'm genuinely amazed how faithful the art style is to the source material. The music's pretty dope as well, I haven't played it in a long while so I'm not certain if some of the tracks are meant to be directly from the game. I remember back when Gatchaman: CROWDS was airing thinking that show had a lot in common stylistically with TWEWY, just far less compelling narratively. I'm glad someone was able to eventually adapt the real deal and now I'm kind of looking forward to a new game for the franchise.
