Three Seven Speedway first appeared in Sega's 1994 arcade release Daytona USA as the Beginner course, and has appeared in every subsequent game in the series except for Daytona USA 2; it is also the only course in Daytona USA that resembles a NASCAR track (albeit a very fanciful take on one). This semi-ovular track boasts an eight-lap race in which forty racers vy for the top spot. Starting in a traditional NASCAR arena area with crowds of fans watching, racers then cut through a forest, under a rocky overhang with a slot machine reel attached to it, and around a bend with a monument to Sega's mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog, carved into the adjacent cliffside before returning to the starting line. The arena portion of the track also features a pit lane for racers to tune their cars if required. Three Seven Speedway is also the only course in Daytona USA to give racers a rolling start.
