    An underappreciated game 0

Titanfall 2 is a really special game. How the devs implemented the movement of your character on the level design was so smart and well done. It felt great to jump, slide and wall run while you were shooting at bad guys. How much character they gave to B.T. was a great surprise as well, I really enjoyed all the dialogue between the pilot and his titan. The story has some amazing moments that make the game feel on the higher tier of the first person shooters we have. Never feeling repetitive with ...

    Titanfall 2 Review 0

I'll be totally honest, I never played the first Titanfall. I am just not the type of person who enjoys competitive online first person shooters, and to me, that seemed to be the focus for that particular game. I watched a significant amount of it, and always thought the movement looked fantastic, along with the dynamic of alternating your play between being on-foot, and in a Titan. It also seemed interesting how they co-opted some ideas from genres like MOBAs, but contextualized it in a way tha...

Titanfall 2 is the best Super Robot Game in this Generation 0

Imagine playing a fluid motion first person shooter made by the creators of the Call of Duty series and having the abilities to pilot your own super robot. If that doesn't entice you to at least try the game, then there isn't much to be said.Titanfall 2 single player campaign and multiplayer modes are the best experiences a First Person Shooter fan could have in this day in age. The traversal and level design of the single player mode brings some of the most fist pumping and adrenaline flowing m...

    An Iron Giant 0

2013’s Xbox-exclusive Titanfall seemed to come and go with relatively little fanfare despite the incredible hype it garnered prior to its release. With Titanfall 2 (available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC), Respawn Entertainment aims to revitalize its series in hopes of providing an experience that makes good on the original’s monumental expectations. Titanfall 2 delivers in nearly every respect, becoming one of the absolute best games of 2016.Whereas its predecessor contained only multip...

    Titans are a man’s best friend 0

I should start by saying I’m not too big of a multiplayer person. I appreciate that side of gaming, but it’s just not for me. However, I love the campaigns in shooters (first and third person) and Titanfall 2 is damn good. In fact, in this sea of futuristic, movement focused fps games Titanfall 2 gets my vote as the best. The single player is by far my favorite part of the experience. The gameplay centers around fast paced firefights, epic set pieces, and platforming sections (which ...

‘Titanfall 2’ stands out among other first person shooters 0

As one of the newest contenders in the first-person shooter genre, “Titanfall 2” stands out as a great game for both fans of single-player and multiplayer shooters. The gameplay has the player shooting and free-running, with the player running on walls while taking out enemy combatants. Along with this, you can pilot a giant mech with a variety of load-outs ranging from a thermite rifle, predator cannon and even an electric sword.“Titanfall 2” takes place five years after ...

A review of a short time with a man and his robot 0

Titanfall 2 offers up much of what a modern FPS should be and raises the bar for any futuristic shooter. An engaging single player campaign, really good player movement, and an overall feeling of being badass sets this game apart in a field becoming increasingly one note.Titanfall 2, the sequel to 2014’s Titanfall, is an FPS developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by EA. The game is set in a future where mankind has colonized the stars, and, as with any great colonization story, s...

    Titanfall 2 0

The first Titanfall game was pretty good and was a breath of fresh air from your typical multiplayer fps without completely throwing the formula out the window. It looked like a Call of Duty game and had a similar atmosphere as a Call of Duty game only it was executed much better. It had much-needed improvements to the time to kill and spawns, as well as being more balanced and strategic, the combat was more action-packed and fast-paced due to being equipped with grappling hooks, jetpacks, a wal...

Titanfall 2 has brought me back to console FPS shooters 0

Doom was the first FPS I played. After that Counter Strike and the first Call of Duty were my jam. However the first FPS I enjoyed on console, and playing multiplayer was COD4. It was fast, exciting, and fulfilling. I played that game for hours. The games that followed engaged me less and less, and I eventually stopped buying console FPS games. After hearing the amazing feedback from both the Giant Bomb staff and the community, I decided to go ahead and take a leap of faith. I was not disappoint...

    Feels just right 0

The controls, the pace, the gameplay, the hitboxes. Everything is in perfect dosage. (All the things you can do at once - impressive) Campaign is linear, but very entertaining and well balanced. (maybe a bit short - but is very relplayable) Mode variety is also nice - but splits the playerbase with the current numbers....

    Games as Art 0

The fundamental FPS movement mechanics are so paramount in this game they are given a sense of style that most other FPS games lack. The wall running, double jumping and mech embarking blends together to form a piece of artwork in of itself. The campaign is exciting non-stop action throughout, plenty of opportunities to see each Mechs abilities and weapons. The continuous escalation of intensity culminates with a slight touch of genuinely earned emotional gratitude towards the end, even if it fee...

A hidden gem or simply a gem? (CAMPAIGN SPOILER REVIEW) 0

Pre-RecapHaving just played through Titanfall 2s campaign on Master difficulty on Xbox One, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Suuure everyone on Reddit praises this game but mainly I only heard good things about that one time travel section of the campaign. Meanwhile I consider the whole campaign to be equally as good, it ends on a every so slight cliffhanger though, with the threat of a enemy Mercenary leader surviving and BT (Your personal Titan) potentially having survived by putting ...

    Titanfall 2 - Prepare for awesome! 0

Playing through Titanfall 2's campaign is a very good indication of just how much small amounts of dialogue between characters can evoke a strong sense of empathy. By the end of the Single Player I could believe in the burgeoning friendship between the generically named Jack Cooper (voice provided by Matthew Mercer) and BT-7274 (voice provided by Glenn Steinbaum). I could believe in the Three Protocols and the heroism of the Frontier Militia. And thats probably the greatest thing the Single Play...

    A Titan-Sized Adventure 0

In the world of first-person shooters, Titanfall 2 has managed to carve out a unique niche. Respawn Entertainment's 2016 release on the PlayStation 4 was not just another shooter but a game that seamlessly blended fast-paced parkour, intense gunplay, and the awe-inspiring spectacle of giant mechs, all wrapped up in an engaging single-player campaign. Titanfall 2's single-player mode quickly became one of the most beloved campaigns in modern gaming, and here, we delve into what makes it such a re...

    Well-polished experience overall 0

Titanfall 2 is a linear and familiar experience but it is, for most part, a very well-polished linear experience and is therefore a refreshing change from some of the more buggy, half-baked, disappointing broken promises that pass as games these days. Titanfall 2 is paced well, has a variety of mechanics, and uses those game mechanics to the fullest extent. The main one is wall running combined with a double jump. This mechanic is somewhat overused, as the game keeps coming up with increasingly ...
