uPlay & Steam: Surly_Skeleton
I usually play sporadic but long sessions, based in EST. Haven't rolled into the DZ yet, still checking off missions.
Uplay Kire_Noloc
Only level 5 and just doing side missions at the moment. Don't even wanna try Dark Zone until I'm like 10 or something.

Steam: TroubleInSpace
Uplay: TroubleInSpace
EST Player here, playing sporadically in the evenings and mostly solo at the moment
I think solo DZ is possibly my favourite bit of the game. Only to be done in moderation but there's nothing quite like the adrenaline of going solo and chewing through packs of mobs (the southern half of the DZ should be approximately level appropriate so, when starting out, stay in DZ1 for the easiest ride and some nice blues a level or two below your current level) while constantly keeping an eye on any players you encounter. It's not the most efficient way to farm or progress but if you're playing for the intrinsic reward of enjoying the moment to moment game then I don't think you can beat stalking a pack of mobs or clearing a Landmark that's just on the edge of your abilities and carefully picking every engagement and managing the adds. It's cautious play, but it's good play.
I also note that (didn't see this in the beta, possibly due to less mobs in that pre-release version) the different factions of mobs fight each other. Some of the mob spawns roam near and through Landmarks that are usually controlled by other factions. This causes NPC fights which you can "get involved in" - which also makes the DZ feel alive even if you never see another human player. That's pretty cool if you're looking for an easy DZ xp hunt and have a long range weapon (you want a long range weapon).
Worst case, someone kills you and anything you picked up since the last extraction is gone, along with a bit of DZ xp and some DZ credits. But chewing through mobs will give you more of that than you're losing. It's also to get into the DZ reasonably early because that way your DZ and main level are closer in step and so you can use your DZ credits to but cool rewards. The more DZ credits you have when you die, the more you drop. So, before you start to prepare for end-game purchases* and saving up for the lvl30 items, it's good to keep them spent on giving you the cool gear for your level (or just don't die in the DZ - may require exceptional skill and perception).
* Not the final tier of end-game, that's all phoenix credits and buying blueprints for the rare lvl31 items (item level is not the same as minimum level requirements to equip - although the game mostly matches them, at the end of the game there is lvl 30 to equip/ilevel 31 loot).
Awesome. I purchased my copy through Steam, so my handles are:
Uplay: Vizualiser

My Steam/Uplay account info: jordanmarx
I've been using random matchmaking during missions, but would like to group up with the GB community..! I've yet to venture into the Dark Zone, was waiting until I hit 10 to take a peak around there. I'm in eastern standard time and play at all times of day, my work schedule sometimes leaves me with rando time off during the week!
I'll join the fun. NYPressPass on both uplay and steam. Level 11. east coast. Just a warning, I can't use voice chat in the evenings. My wife works super early. But I'm good at following directions ...
