    Stealth action goes mobile

Splinter cell: chaos theory was developed by Gameloft using the same 3D engine used in there earlier ghost recon title. Quite simply it was a revolution for the N-Gage. It moved away from the 2D platforming seen in the first splinter cell title released on the system shortly after its launch and added console gaming with minimal compromise.

The story followed a fairly well trodden path through multiple world locations allowing a multitude of mission types. Well it covers infiltration and finding important people! The story is told through text accompanied by moving in engine videos and often a small image of the person speaking it is not terrible but if I'm honest I couldn't tell you why I did what I did.

The controls can be awkward with tasks assigned to quite a few of the number buttons it gets hard to remember how to jump instead of changing to night vision, but once learned the controls can be manageable even fluid!

The sound and graphics are the real highlights of this game it renders the world in full 3D lighting is believable and there are even some pretty impressive rain affects but the most amazing feature is the option to switch to night of thermal vision seamlessly. Everything ticks along at a fairly constant fps even seamlessly entering first person to look through door locks.

The graphics are amazing and the gameplay very competent for a mobile game but overall the game can be frustrating the N-Gage D pad is not ideal and the developer could have tried to refine the use of the number pad (i.e. the rest of the controls) that get confusing at times. The same game was later released on the DS and this may be a more refined bet.
