Tomba! 2: The Pink Hair Returns

Tomba! 2: The Evil Swine Returns is the second game in the Tomba series, released in 1999, 2 years after the original Tomba!. While this game is relatively unknown to most people, it was an extremely popular game amongst those who DID play the game. Whoopee Camp went out of business shortly after production of Tomba! 2, leaving fans wondering if there Whoopee Camp had any intention of creating a third game in the series (at least that's what i wondered). Unfortunately we'll never know...

It wasn't until almost 10 years after the game was released that I remembered it's existence and remembered how much I truly loved it . After searching high and low for a copy of this game that was preferably less than $75 (this is a highly rare game), I managed to obtain a less expensive copy and much to my pleasure the game had the same level of enjoyment as it did when i was 10 years old.

I give this game 4.5 stars because it was a truly outstanding game, even 10-12 years later. The graphics were amazing for the technology that was available, the characters were lovable and the storyline was consistent and well thought out with several side quests available to keep the player entertained. My complaint of the game is minor, regarding the sound and voice acting. Often times the subtitles don't match the words being said (very minor flaw)(in one case the voice actor makes a mistake, corrects himself and continues without editing out the mistake) and on some occasions the background music is louder then the people talking, making the player distracted and uninterested in the conversation.
