    Item pickup originally in the Heretic/Hexen series. The Tome made a return in the 2009 Raven release, Wolfenstein.

    The Tome of Power is a black spell book with a silver metal skull embedded in the front cover. When used in Heretic, Heretic II, and Hexen II, the Tome boosted the power of the weapons wielded by the player. In Heretic II it was revealed that the Tome was sentient, and it became a speaking character in the game's storyline, Corvus' only constant companion during his adventure. The Tome returned in Raven's 2009 Wolfenstein game, and is used to unlock upgrades for the player's Veil powers.
